Two Part-time Positions: Team Member, Sweet Charity Resale Store
General Responsibility Description:
Are you a people person and thrift store enthusiast?
Wayside Cross Ministries, a Bible-based, Christ-centered, non-profit organization for the broken and hurting, is looking for a team member(s) to work at our resale stores’ Sweet Charity location.
You must possess strong hands, and a big heart for serving others!
First Person will be mostly responsible for sales, receiving, sorting and processing donations, running a cash register, cleaning and organizing, working and communicating with the public.
Second Person will be responsible for receiving and sorting donations along with having a knowledge of what is saleable and what is not, interacting with the public, keeping the donation room organized, ability to run a cash register. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods of time, bend over repeatedly and some lifting is required.

Applicants must be in agreement with the ministry’s Vision and Mission Statement, Core Values, Statement of Faith, Code of Conduct and have a heart for the people we serve.
Work Schedule for these positions is:
Position One – Occasional Friday’s 3:00 – 6:30, and two Saturday ‘s a month 9:30 am – 5-30 pm — onsite at the Sweet Charity Resale Store Location
Position Two – flexible week an hours and occasional weekends

Sweet Charity Resale Store is one of two locations of Wayside Cross Ministries’ resale operations. It serves as a vital part of our ministry, funding and supporting programs for the broken and recovering in our community. These days, Lark has gained some really good friendships at Lifespring. She appreciates that there are people in the program that she can share her struggles with, like a resident named Rica, who is very knowledgeable about the Bible. “She’ll quote me things and talk to me.” She has helped Lark through some tough times. Women in the Lifespring program all come from different walks of life. Lark shared, “But we are all here for the same reason. We’re broken, and we need help. We need God! We are here wanting to know how to be put back together…but for the most part we are a family.”
