MEALS AND HOPE: FEEDING THE HUNGRY AND RECOVERING 365 DAYS A YEAR
JOIN US AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY. DONATE TODAYVOLUNTEERJust as Jesus broke bread and changed lives, meals are an important part of the recovery and transformation process at Wayside Cross Ministries.
Join us in feeding hungry and hurting neighbors.
At our main campus in Aurora, meal preparation also provides an important opportunity to build teamwork, trust, and learn the spiritual value of serving our fellow man. That’s why each meal is prepared through the loving hands of people recovering in our program. Some nights they may even pick up a few professional kitchen skills from one of our community volunteers.
Both offer the opportunity for the church to live out the Gospel by pouring into each other’s lives. Join us.
Give. Share. Pray. Participate.
Note: Updating our commercial kitchen equipment for prep and training are critical to meeting the needs of the people we serve. Our goal is to provide one more avenue for long-term job opportunities.

These days, Lark has gained some really good friendships at Lifespring. She appreciates that there are people in the program that she can share her struggles with, like a resident named Rica, who is very knowledgeable about the Bible. “She’ll quote me things and talk to me.” She has helped Lark through some tough times. Women in the Lifespring program all come from different walks of life. Lark shared, “But we are all here for the same reason. We’re broken, and we need help. We need God! We are here wanting to know how to be put back together…but for the most part we are a family.”
We embrace all people with the compassion of Christ
